Look good while you DO good.
Animated Closet has partnered with Everyman Espresso and New York resident and N.I.C.E. volunteer Jacqueline Borde to help children whose lives have been severely affected by recent events in Fukushima Prefecture in Japan. On June 9th, Ms. Borde will fly to Japan to deliver toys and comfort to the children of Aiza wakamatsu who were rendered homeless by the earthquake and tsunami. Many of the children at this particular N.I.C.E. shelter are now orphans. The shelter is located just 100 km from the damaged Daiichi
nuclear power plant and, therefore, children spend most of their time indoors to avoid radiation exposure.
To support this effort, Animated Closet will be holding a small trunk show / sample sale this coming Tuesday, June 7th, between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. at Everyman Espresso,
located at 136 East 13th Street, between 3rd Avenue & 4th Avenue in Manhattan. Anyone donating a small, iconically American toy will received a 15% discount on their purchase
of any Animated Closet fair-trade fashions. Customers at Animated Closet's store, located at 87 5th Avenue in Park Slope, Brooklyn, will enjoy the same opportunity this Tuesday
to save money while doing good.
Suggested toys for donation are listed below. Toys should be new or in very good condition. Smaller toys are preferred for ease of transport.
Mickey Mouse / Minnie Mouse and other traditional Disney toys
Sesame Street
Super heroes
Frisbees
Slinkies
Barbie dolls
Coloring books
Crayons
Dress-up clothes and Accessories

So you know we can make dresses, skirts, jackets, and all that other good stuff...but did you know we have a green thumb too? Our new store came with a backyard and we've already grown our first strawberry :)
The annual 5th Ave street fair is this Sunday, May 15 and we're throwing a party!
Happy Mother's Day to our Mamas out there! Here's a pic of one of our favorite mom/daughter pairs (and we love that Baby is getting started on Animated Closet early :) Are you a mom wearing one of our pieces? Or do you have a pic of you wearing something of ours with your mom? Pass them on! We love to see who our fans are!
It's Spring! Even if Mother Nature's a little confused, we're going to welcome it in style. Come by the Park Slope shop on Saturday and Sunday to check out our new arrivals and find some steals and deals on the sale rack. Don't miss it!
It's 3/14 and for all those math fans out there, it's Pi Day! We love that Thailand has something for us to celebrate with :)
We love the idea behind food co-ops and want to show our support! If you're member of the Park Slope Food Co-Op (or any other food co-op in the city), show us your membership card on Sundays and save 10%. Bring the kids too - we'll have a guest face painting artist and a story hour too.
Sunday, March 20 - 10am-8pm
See you there!
